Program
Description
Empowering Seniors with Physical Fitness is an exercise program designed for
seniors. This exercise will include low impact and stretching exercises
appropriate to their age and ability to participate. This exercise program can
be designed to be conducted on a daily or weekly basis. Exercise in seniors has
been shown to greatly increase strength, flexibility, energy, morale as well as
reduce stress.
Program Benefits
The benefits of this program will be to 1) improve physical health, 2) improve
well being, 3) improve flexibility, 4) improve strength, 5) improve energy and
stamina, 6) gain self sufficiency, 7) reduce medication, and 8) increase
balance and reduce the incidence of falls. These benefits will result in
reduced cost of care and increased profitability for the senior care facility.
Program
Logistics
The purpose of Empowering Seniors with Physical Fitness is to demonstrate the
benefits and cost savings of improved health and well being of seniors at your
company. The Program will be presented and implemented by Nationally Certified
and Experienced Personal Trainers in senior fitness and can be conducted
on-site or off-site on a daily or weekly basis. Personal Trainers will conduct
sessions in individual or group settings for 30 minutes to one hour each
session, depending upon ability. One additional support staff will also be
required. A community type room or open area is sufficient to conduct this
program.
